Gait Analysis
Video gait analysis is a advanced technology that I use to diagnose complex motion-related pathologies of the foot, ankle, knee, hip, and lower back. It involves breaking down the three stages of the human gait cycle into tiny segments using computerized video analysis. This allows me to conduct a thorough assessment of the foot position, foot and leg function, and overall posture.
The software we use at My FootDr is world-class and enables me to calculate kinematic angulations of the leg, ankle, and foot. I am then able to explain what I observe on video and how it may be contributing to any pains or problems my patients may be experiencing. I can even print the images for them to take home.
All images are saved to our advanced multimedia server for future reference and review. This technology is particularly helpful in diagnosing running or sports-related injuries and overuse injuries.
At My FootDr, I routinely perform video gait analysis during biomechanical assessments to help my patients achieve the best outcomes for their foot and leg conditions.
